Once everything is closed off, shine your flashlight on items and areas that look suspect. Start by turning off all of the lights and closing the blinds if there are any the goal is to make the room as dark as possible.

The flashlight test is a simple way to spot camera lenses that might be hidden behind translucent materials that wouldn’t be visible in regular light. RF detectors (that stands for “radio frequency”) are much more effective at sniffing out cameras that WiFi-sniffing apps like Fing might’ve missed. Sure, it can’t use echolocation to find them, but it’s a good way to know if there are cameras inside the property you’re going to call home for a bit.

There’s a paid “premium” version of the app, but I feel that the free version does the trick just fine. Once connected to the local WiFi network, you’ll be able to find webcams listed through the Fing app.
